About Us

Cheshire Reptile Rescue was set up by husband and wife team, Greg and Adele Palmer. Their aim is to provide homes for reptiles who can no longer be looked after and provide medical care to those whose owners can no longer afford to do so.

Greg has been keeping reptiles for over 30 years, he has experience with a large variety of lizards and snakes from bearded dragons to your more feisty venomous species.  Having had experience in the pet shop trade Greg has built up a large network of contacts who help with the work we do at the centre and support us in many ways.

Adele runs Sanctuary at Hopley House. The sanctuary side of Cheshrep. Having had a long career in nursing, Adele uses the skills she has acquired over many years to care for the reptiles who come to us needing a bit more attention and medical attention.

The rescue works with a growing number of third parties to around the country to care for reptiles and bring them to a place of safety. This is done by a growing number of students and volunteers who support Greg and Adele in there work and help with the collection and relocation of reptiles to the centre in Middlewhich.
